Take a look at the smiles on the faces, the Illusions team had just caught this 501 pound Blue Marlin with only three minutes left before the stop fishing signal in the Big Island Invitational. This fish won Illusions the largest purse ever won in Hawaii.

While
filming one of Captain Norm Issacs Big Game Fishing shows for ESPN we were
able to release two Blue Marlin, one was estimated at 500+ pounds and the
other was about 200 pounds. If you want to see what a 500+ pound blue marlin
looks like under the boat let us know we do sell the video. It is filled
with a lot of great shots. |

out this 708 pound Blue Marlin caught by Chris Crainium. This fish took
top honors in the Big Island Challenge Tournament. The tournament consisted
of 4 tournaments; Illusions was able to land on top once again. |

not only catch Marlin as you can see, while you're trolling for that big
Blue Marlin you might just get the opportunity to catch a nice Ahi (Yellow
Fin Tuna). Ahi generally run between mid June to September. |

| Here Capt.Tim Hicks and crew Mike DeWild caught the mother load of mahi mahi to win the most points division GPD Ford Tournament. There golden haul included 23 Mahi Mahi ranging form 15 to 43 pounds with a total weight for the two days of 644.5 pounds. | ||||||||||

| It's Keki (kids) day on the Illusions. Here a group of kids from Captain Tim son's class bag a few Aku (Skipjack Tuna). Captain Tim takes pride in his reputation for not only being a serious tournament boat captain, but also a patient and understanding dad that understands your concerns about your kids. | ||||||||||

| You never know what you're going to encounter while out on the water. Here is a picture of Mike Dewild walking on the back of a giant Whale Shark. While trolling one day this Giant Whale Shark came up to inspect the transom of the Illusions. Mike walked right from the back of the boat and onto the back of this docile giant. | ||||||||||
